Jules Grundy MBChB MRCS (Eng) FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a specialist orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon appointed as a consultant at Yeovil District Hospital in 2010. He specialises in all elements of elective (planned) and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle, including arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery (keyhole), open reconstructive surgery, surgery of tendons and ankle replacement surgery.
After qualifying from the University of Bristol Medical School in 1997, his higher orthopaedic training was on the Wessex training programme with specialist foot and ankle training in Bournemouth, Southampton and on fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. He then took a locum Consultant post in Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester for almost a year before taking up his substantive post in Yeovil. He has honorary consultant NHS contracts at Dorchester and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital where he undertakes combined complex operating lists and complex foot and ankle clinics with regional colleagues.
Personal Profile
Outside work his time is largely spent with his wife and 2 children, dogs and other animals but he also enjoys cycling, running, shooting, golf, skiing and the odd challenge!
